We are recruiting Trainee Youth Workers to join our team to work in residential settings. We are looking for flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals.
The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to service users with complex needs within a residential setting, aiming to create an environment that caters to their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will work with individuals placed into the care system for various reasons, with a range of disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, we seek individuals who have the confidence, patience, and skills to work successfully with these individuals and make a positive impact on their lives.
In this role, you will support young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping.
Please note that you will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete one of our induction programs before any placements are offered.

Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Build strong professional relationships with service users and staff
2. Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for service users and staff
3. Keep all communication and information systems up to date
4. Attend and participate in meetings as appropriate
5. Support service users in managing their behavior using approved skills
6. Promote equality and acknowledge individual differences
7. Protect service users from abuse from staff, visitors, or other service users
8. Write accurate reports for reviews and maintain records for monitoring purposes
9. Attend all required training and aim to achieve relevant qualifications
10. Attend work reliably and punctually, following a set shift pattern
11. Stay updated with procedures and policy changes
12. Ensure health and safety of yourself and others
13. Undertake additional duties relevant to the role as required
