Job Description – Cleaner (Care Home)
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team in a specialist care home setting. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out daily cleaning duties across the care home, including resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, offices, and corridors.
* Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard in line with infection control, health, and safety regulations.
* Safely use cleaning products, materials, and equipment according to training and COSHH guidelines.
* Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the manager or senior staff.
* Work in a respectful and considerate manner around residents, maintaining their dignity and privacy at all times.
* Follow the care home's policies, procedures, and schedules to ensure a hygienic environment is consistently maintained.
* Assist with deep cleaning tasks as required.
Requirements:
* Previous cleaning experience in a care home, healthcare, or similar environment (preferred).
* Knowledge of infection control and safe cleaning practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good time management and attention to detail.
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of cleanliness.
