Unlicensed Aseptics Stock Control Supervisor – Band 4
Employer: University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. Salary: £28,392 – £31,157 pro rata per year.

Job Overview
We are seeking a Stock Controller Supervisor to lead the stocks within the unlicensed aseptic pharmacy services department. In this newly developed role you will manage medication procurement and stock levels, ensuring timely availability for chemotherapy patients and minimising wastage and expenditure. The position is permanent and requires a Level 2 GPHC‑recognised qualification. Full training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities
* Daily stock checks and investigation of stock discrepancies
* Daily and weekly ordering of drugs
* Chasing outstanding orders
* Ensuring stock rotation and expiry date checks are completed and maintained
* Recording the receipt of drugs
* Wear appropriate PPE where required as per department policy
* Undergo training and validations as per department policy
* Dispensing of oral medication and outsourced products
* Collecting medications/stock from other areas within pharmacy
* Attend stock meetings
* Cleaning storage areas
* Dispensing chemotherapy medication
Qualifications & Experience
* GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent in Maths and English, or an equivalent level qualification
* GPHC approved Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Services, or currently working towards the qualification
* Proven experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
* Experience using automated/electronic systems and stock control systems
* Ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate problem‑solving skills for stock discrepancies
* Experience working with PPE and COSHH requirements
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
* Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing situations
* Clear verbal and electronic communication skills with the pharmacy team and service users
