Job Title: Planner (P6) - Water AMP 8 Location: West Midlands, UK Sector: Water / Utilities Contract Type: Permanent / Contract Salary: Competitive About the Role: We are seeking an experienced P6 Planner to support the successful delivery of AMP 8 water infrastructure projects in the West Midlands. Working with a leading Tier 1 contractor, you will play a crucial role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project progress using Primavera P6. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure effective programme management across the water and wastewater sectors. Key Responsibilities: Develop, manage, and update project schedules using Primavera P6. Integrate schedules with project controls and ensure alignment with contract requirements. Provide critical path analysis, progress tracking, and risk assessment. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to support project delivery. Prepare programme reports and present updates to senior stakeholders. Identify and mitigate potential delays and risks, ensuring timely project completion. Ensure compliance with industry and client standards, including NEC contracts. Support cost forecasting and earned value management (EVM). Liaise with supply chain partners and subcontractors to ensure accurate scheduling. Requirements: Proven experience as a P6 Planner within the water, utilities, or infrastructure sector. Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and project planning principles. Experience working on AMP frameworks within the UK water sector. Familiarity with NEC contracts and project controls. Ability to analyse complex schedules and provide strategic recommendations. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
