About The Role:
As a Purchaser, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and services across our operations. You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to secure the best deals, maintain stock levels, and support production targets. Key Responsibilities:
* Raise purchase orders and manage product codes
* Source and select new suppliers
* Negotiate rates with suppliers and contractors
* Track deliveries and verify goods received
* Liaise with suppliers on quotes, lead times, and deliveries
* Generate financial and stock reports
* Support monthly stock takes and FSC audits
* Continuously improve purchasing processes
* Provide cover for the Senior Purchaser when needed
Essential Requirements:
* Experience in a procurement or purchasing role
* Proficiency with electronic purchasing and costing systems akin to ERP systems
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Professional, friendly, and supportive attitude
* Proactive and critical thinker
* Approachable and team-oriented
Desirable Requirements:
* Strong planning and negotiation skills
* Qualification in procurement, purchasing or similar supply chain qualifications
