Benign Urology Nurse Specialist
Recruitment of a Benign Urology Nurse Specialist to assess lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), conduct urodynamic assessments and manage common bladder conditions. The role will involve delivering LUTS assessment service and urodynamic clinics across all hospital sites, including initial training at Malton Hospital and York Hospital.
The post includes a strong development component and training will be provided in line with your needs and the service demands.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and conduct urodynamic assessments.
* Manage common bladder conditions and provide follow‑up services.
* Deliver services across York, Scarborough, and Bridlington hospital sites.
* Work cross‑site with the Urology Lead Nurse, Urology Consultants and existing Benign Urology Nurse Specialists.
* Provide patient‑centred care, identify and respond to patient queries sensitively and competently.
* Develop skills under training and continuous learning support.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Interest in urology and excellent communication skills with staff, patients and visitors.
* Desirable experience or understanding of urological and continence nursing; keen willingness to learn is essential.
* Efficient and effective communicator and a motivated, enthusiastic individual.
