Main duties of the job
As a Staff Nurse you will be responsiblefor providing care to people admitted to our ward for rehabilitation, working to uphold the highest standards. Wework closely as a multi-disciplinary team. Our focusispromoting thecomfort and wellbeing of patients, enablingthemto live asindependently as possible. This is a small but friendly team to work with. As ateam we encourage ongoing learning and development through reflection andclinical supervision which we try and embed in our daily practice. Our nursesare required to facilitate the day to day running of the ward, administeringmedications, working alongside all members of the MDT as well as patients,their families and carers to provided 24/7 rehabilitation to enable the highestlevel of independence and quality of life. Our nurses are required to attendmeetings as needed such as MDT and CHC or Discharge Planning.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Confidence to teach student nurses, patients, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Understanding of evidence-based nursing, multidisciplinary working, clinical governance.
* Evidence of on-going continuing professional development.
* Rehabilitation practice, nursing care relevant to stroke, Parkinsons, Diabetes.
* Knowledge and understanding of Mental Capacity and DOLs.
Experience
* Experience gained during pre-registration training.
* Post-registration experience in an inpatient setting.
* Previous experience of day to day management.
Additional Criteria
* Responsible for own professional development.
Qualifications
* RGN/RMN/RNLD.
* NMC Registered.
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
