Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Vehicle
Our client specialises in designing, supplying, and installing frameless glass balcony systems (balconies, balustrades, Juliet-balconies, glass railings, etc.) for residential and commercial properties. The frameless systems are built with toughened or laminated safety glass and high-quality fixings, providing modern aesthetic appeal, unobstructed views, safety compliance, and minimal maintenance for our clients.
As our client expands, we're seeking a motivated sales person to join the team, someone ambitious to grow into a senior or manager role as they prove themselves.
Responsibilities
* Identify and engage potential new clients across the UK, developers, contractors, architects, property managers, builders, renovators, homeowners, etc.
* Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, offering appropriate frameless balcony/glass solutions, following up on enquiries, and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Generate new business via proactive outreach: cold‑calling, emailing, networking, attending industry events, site visits, and meetings.
* Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and product/service packages tailored to client requirements (balcony size, glass type, fixings, installation, compliance).
* Work with internal teams (design, technical, installation) to ensure accurate project specs and smooth handover from sale to installation.
* Visit client sites when required, measure, survey, discuss options, inspect existing structures - sometimes personally or coordinate with technical team.
Essential attributes
* Driven, ambitious, and target‑oriented, eager to learn and progress into a management/senior role over time
* Passionate and enthusiastic about sales, building relationships, and representing a company/brand with professionalism and energy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident on phone, email, and in-person; able to build rapport and influence decision‑makers (contractors, developers, homeowners).
* Good organisational and time‑management skills, able to juggle multiple clients, follow-ups, travel, and admin while staying on top of paperwork and deadlines.
* Resilient and self-motivated, capable of working independently, dealing with rejections or challenging clients, and pushing for results.
* Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly nationwide to meet clients, conduct site visits, or attend industry events.
Desirable (but not essential) experience/skills
* Any prior sales experience - B2B or B2C - in the construction industry, showing negotiation, targets or client management.
* Some exposure to construction, glazing, renovation, property development, architecture, or building materials - helpful but not mandatory.
* Basic understanding of safety/glazing regulations or willingness to learn them.
* Ability to read basic technical drawings or measure up site dimensions (helpful for quoting balconies/ balustrades).
What They Offer
* Competitive base salary + performance-based commission/bonus structure (reflecting individual & company success) - rewarding high performers.
* On‑the-job training and support: product knowledge, technical training about glazing & balcony systems, customer handling & sales training, guidance towards more senior roles.
* Career progression: opportunity for high‑performing junior sales execs to grow quickly into account management or sales manager roles, taking on responsibility for larger clients/territories.
* Travel support: company mileage allowance or vehicle / travel expenses covered (since role requires UK‑wide travel).
* Flexible working: balance between office/home-based admin/quote work and client‑facing field visits & site meetings.
