The Public Health division of Nottinghamshire County Council works to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities in the local population. We have a part-time vacancy on a fixed term until 25th March 2027. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, educated to degree level, with experience in using health-related data and information systems. Knowledge of statistical and epidemiological methodologies is essential. The role involves supporting, promoting, and developing the evidence base used to assess health needs and inform local service decisions.
The post involves developing high-quality, specialist public health intelligence on population health data from internal and external sources. As part of a team, you will disseminate and explain analyses, transforming them into meaningful, timely health intelligence to improve services and outcomes.
You should be highly motivated, able to build effective relationships with colleagues and partners, and possess strong numeracy skills, including data analysis, report writing, and project support. Proficiency in Excel and other software packages is required.
Depending on individual circumstances, the post may be primarily based remotely or at County Hall, Nottinghamshire.
