HR Operations Manager (High Wycombe, UK)
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, UK (Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 from home)
Are you an experienced HR leader who thrives on driving both people and performance? This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of the UK HR function for a fast‑growing, international business with a proud heritage in innovation, quality and sustainability. Reporting to the European Head of HR, you will lead the site's HR agenda - balancing strategic partnership with hands‑on delivery. You'll have the autonomy to shape culture, build leadership capability, and elevate and deliver an impactful HR operations agenda.
Responsibilities
* Lead the full HR function for a UK manufacturing site of around 120 employees.
* Act as a trusted partner to the site leadership team, driving engagement, capability and performance.
* Own and improve employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
* Localise group-wide HR initiatives to the UK market, ensuring compliance and consistency.
* Coach and develop people leaders to take ownership of their teams.
* Lead on culture and engagement initiatives, translating insights into measurable improvement.
* Support organisational change, continuous improvement and talent development.
Experience
You’ll bring strong HR generalist experience, ideally from a manufacturing, FMCG or similar fast‑paced environment. You’re pragmatic, commercially minded and confident navigating both strategic and operational challenges.
Key attributes include:
* 10+ years' experience in HR leadership, HRBP or HR Manager roles.
* Deep employee relations expertise with strong knowledge of UK employment law.
* Skilled in using HR systems (ideally Workday) to drive data‑led insights.
* High emotional intelligence, excellent judgement, and the courage to influence at all levels.
* A proactive, continuous improvement mindset and passion for building engaged, high‑performing teams.
