We are currently seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support a specialist SEN setting on either a permanent or full-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a small, therapeutic educational environment that supports children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, ADHD, and demand-avoidant (PDA) profiles. The setting provides a calm, nurturing approach where relationships are at the heart of everything they do.
The school offers a structured and supportive environment where every pupil is valued as an individual. Staff work collaboratively to help pupils build confidence, emotional regulation, independence, and engagement with learning. Small class sizes allow staff to provide meaningful, personalised support and make a genuine difference every day.
Located within a peaceful countryside setting, outdoor learning plays an important role in the school day, with access to forest school activities and therapeutic outdoor spaces that encourage wellbeing and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions
* Help pupils access learning in a way that meets their individual needs
* Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social development
* Build trusting, consistent relationships with pupils
* Support behaviour through a calm, therapeutic, and empathetic approach
* Contribute to maintaining a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education or care settings
* A patient, nurturing, and emotionally intelligent approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable young people
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
