Overview
Bread & Jam is the largest community of food and drink founders of the UK and we’re looking for a Marketing Manager to join our team for a 9 month period for maternity leave cover.
Since launching in 2016, Bread & Jam has grown to become the first port of call for anyone starting or scaling a food business. We have a year round programme of workshops, conferences and festivals focused on supporting thousands of ambitious food and drink brands accelerate the growth of their ventures.
Responsibilities
* Managing all attendee-facing communications via email
* Managing our customer service inbox and responding to email enquiries from food and drink brands
* Managing our Eventbrite account – ensuring our event listings are up to date and providing attendee reports as required
* Managing and moderating our Facebook group with over 14,000 members
* Managing our website and ensuring event details are up to date
* Managing the full retail pitching cycle for our events, from application setup to receiving and processing applications (training will be provided)
* Managing the Challenger Fund: a bursary scheme for early stage brands, from setup to selection and informing successful and unsuccessful applicants
* Liaising with support organisations to encourage brand cohorts to attend our events and agreeing on collaborations and additional services
* Working closely with our Partnerships Manager to ensure that partner deliverables are actioned and completed on time
* Writing engaging copy for our weekly newsletters and sending these via Mailchimp
* Creating and managing segmented email campaigns and marketing funnels
* Producing blog posts showcasing our community brand members and their achievements
* Writing engaging copy for our showguides, highlighting key elements of our content and features
* Working with the team to manage event logistics and operations in the run up to events
* Managing external event staff on event days and ensuring our attendees feel welcomed and looked after
You’ll thrive in this role if you…
* Are passionate about supporting food and drink brands and understand small businesses
* Enjoy the dynamic world of events and event management, where working flexibly and problem solving on the go is essential
* Love being organised and ensuring that multiple projects are kept on track at the same time
* Enjoy working in a multifaceted role where you can use lots of different skills
* Have experience in a fast paced Marketing role, ideally B2B focused and customer facing within the food and drink sector
* Have experience using Canva and Mailchimp
* Are comfortable working with GSuite and Slack to communicate with the team
* This is hybrid role and you will be expected to work autonomously at home and attend our offices in Hoxton at least two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
* This is a maternity leave cover role from November 2025 to September 2026
