Applications in this case are welcomed for a Locum Consultant post in Clinical Haematology (General Haematology) with a sub‑specialty in Lymphoma. This is a new full time (10 PA) appointment which also attracts an additional 1PA as part of the on‑call provision. We have an established team of Specialist Registrars, Speciality Doctors, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Clinical Nurse Specialists to support Consultants in delivering Haematology care.
The Clinical Haematology service comprises all Haematology/Oncology, general haematology, and Lymphoma referrals for investigation, diagnosis and treatment. There is additional responsibility for investigation and advice on the management of patients with haematological problems from all other areas including ante‑natal serology. This includes a bone marrow biopsy service for patients not under the direct care of the haematologists. Anticoagulant monitoring is managed within Primary Care.
You will have the opportunity to develop your own research interest with opportunity to also join a well‑established translational molecular laboratory, to be able to enrich your professional journey with lab‑based research together with clinical research.
