Field Service Engineer
Location : Bristol (must live within 45 minutes)
Salary : GBP 46,000 per annum + company van + excellent benefits
Field:based role
This role will suit a skilled engineer who enjoys working independently in the field, diagnosing faults, and delivering high:quality repairs directly on customer sites.
The Role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of heavy construction equipment, ensuring machines operate safely and efficiently. You'll play a key role in minimising downtime and delivering exceptional aftersales support.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on heavy equipment (40 tonne+)

Carry out on:site repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance
:
Work on hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical components
:
Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently
:
Complete detailed service reports and documentation
:
Liaise with internal teams and keep customers informed throughout
:
Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
About You:
:
Proven experience in a field service role within heavy plant, construction, or similar equipment
:
OEM or main dealer background preferred
:
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, and diagnostics
:
Experience working on large mobile equipment (40 tonne+)
:
Excellent fault:finding and problem:solving skills
:
Confident using IT systems for reporting and diagnostics
:
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
:
Full UK driving licence
