What will I be doing?
There are 5 main purposes of the Assistant Financial Accountant role in supporting the Financial Control Team as follows:-
1. Responsibility for ensuring all cash books are regularly kept up to date on a daily basis reconciled to bank statements for MRO
2. Responsibility for VAT returns, EC Sales Lists and Intrastat returns including VAT reconciliations for OEM and MRO
3. Assist with compilation of Corporation Tax information and submissions
4. Responsibility for ensuring wages journals and reconciliations are performed monthly for OEM and MRO.
5. Provide cover for Finance Analyst and Financial Accountant

There is no regular travel required with this role.

What do I need to succeed in the role?
Previous experience in similar role
Self-starter, organised, dedicated, diligent, attention to detail orientated
Excel intermediate proficiency
Team player, Can-Do approach
Confident in communicating across the business in all disciplines
Previous knowledge of Fourth Shift desirable but not essential
AAT qualified as a minimum
