Logistics Co-ordinator

Reports to: Crewing & Logistics Manager
Purpose of the Role
The Logistics Co-ordinator is a central support role within the Logistics team. Working closely with the Crew & Logistics Manager as well as the wider logistics and warehousing teams, the role supports the efficient running of a demanding and reactive logistics desk.
What You Will Be Responsible For
* Assist with planning, managing, coordinating, booking and evaluating logistics operations across a range of external projects, liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, crew, transportation companies and customers
* Work within and help to create and implement best practice logistics and crewing principles, policies and processes across the business to improve operational and financial performance
* Manage in-house vehicles, ensuring maintenance, checks and logs are kept up to date
* Working with platforms such as Team Track and Current RMS to manage the aspects of the job
* Be on hand to answer questions that project and/or production managers might have around booking in crew and transport
* Book travel arrangements for staff across other departments
* Cover the Crewing and Logistics Manager during absences, including courier organisation and booking
* Administration tasks including but not limited to assisting the Crewing and Logistics Manager and Warehouse Manager
* Work with the Warehouse and Service & Prep teams to ensure all loading and unloading bays are assigned to deal with all incoming and outgoing orders
* Oversee and assist with loading and unloading of vehicles to ensure it is completed in a safe and efficient manner, including strapping and securing loads
* Occasional work outside the stated roles may be required (e.g., assist with warehouse operations)
* Occasional work outside of normal hours may be required depending on business needs (e.g., fielding calls from couriers with delivery address queries)
What We Are Looking For
* Experience of operating within a fast paced, operations or logistics environment
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* A good understanding of UK geography
* Strong stakeholder and communication skills
* Able to contribute to managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities
* Strong administration, numeracy, IT and coordination skills
* Comfortable working with schedules and deadlines
* Proactive and solutions focused mindset
* Understanding of the live event sector and production processes would be advantageous but is not essential as is previous experience of administering export and imports
