Supply teacher

You will be working with Hays Education, who are one of the largest recruitment agencies working within primary schools in Rugby and surrounding villages. We are currently recruiting Supply Teachers who can teach from Reception - Year 6 or a specific key stage / year groups on a day-to-day basis as well as long-term roles. Long-term roles could cover anything from sickness, PPA time, course cover, management release time, paternity leave, maternity leave and interventions. This role may or may not require planning. If you do need to plan, then you will be paid to scale for this. As a Supply Teacher You will be working in a classroom teaching children in the absence of their original teacher. You will have the responsibility of teaching the class. Deliver the lessons from plans left by the class teacher, mark all books as per policy and provide feedback where relevant Observing behaviour and ensuring all children are following the behavioural policy and any other issues to be reported back to the Teacher - any safeguarding issues please report to the on-duty DSL. You may be supporting different schools on a day-to-day, ad hoc basis or, and if this is your preferred choice, you will be working at the same school on a long-term basis, either full-time or part-time. What you'll need to succeed To be a successful Supply Teacher, you must have a good knowledge of the primary school National Curriculum, where you will be covering a variety of year groups. You should be able to adapt to different teaching methods and environments and be confident in doing so. You must have experience teaching within the last 5 years in the teaching industry and hold a QTS, PGCE or ECT. What you'll get in return Flexible working options are available.
