We have an opportunity for a Financial Accountant (reporting to the Financial Controller) to join our central finance team in Milton Keynes. This is a newly created role due to firm growth. You will be part of a friendly, established team, providing high-quality financial and management information, identifying control weaknesses or inefficiencies, investigating solutions, and implementing the best options.

Your qualifications and skills
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience.
* Proactive, team-oriented, and able to drive initiatives forward.
* IT literate: Excel, Word, and SAP (SAP not essential).
* Strong prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
* Creative thinking and effective communication across all levels.
Main Responsibilities
* Bank reconciliations (daily/monthly).
* Month-end closing for CCH, including chasing timesheets.
* Preparing and distributing VPM breach reports.
* Raising credit notes on CCH.
* Supporting utilization reporting.
* Month-end journal posting and reconciliations.
* Quarterly VAT returns.
* BACS payment reviews.
* Bank dealings, including signature authorizations and account setups.
* Maintaining Lloyds Commercial Banking Online and other banks.
* Intercompany invoicing and reconciliations.
* Collating WIP and debtor provisions.
* Preparing management accounts with source documentation.
* Fixed asset ledger management.
* Companies House filings.
* Assisting with budgets and group consolidations.
* Handling SAP Concur and TMC queries.
* Creating process notes.
* Communicating with department members to ensure information flow.
* Preparing year-end schedules and liaising with auditors.
* Managing insurance queries.
* Providing cover for other financial tasks as needed.
* Producing ONS statistics.
* Inputting T10s in CCH.
* Maintaining Staff Loans records with HR.
* Supporting ad hoc projects.
