We're recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of SHEQ across a growing organisation within the utilities and infrastructure sector. This is a key position focused on compliance, performance, and embedding best practice across multiple sites. About the Client: We're supporting a well-established organisation operating across infrastructure and environmental services. The business is recognised for its commitment to safety, quality standards, and ongoing investment in people, systems, and operational excellence. What You'll Be Doing: * Leading and managing SHEQ strategy across the business * Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act, CDM Regulations, and environmental legislation * Maintaining and improving ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) * Reviewing and approving risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) * Implementing and monitoring safe systems of work across sites * Leading internal audits and supporting external ISO accreditation audits * Producing SHEQ performance reports for senior stakeholders * Delivering training, toolbox talks, and inductions to staff and subcontractors * Supporting managers and supervisors in effective safety leadership * Investigating incidents, near misses, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented * Managing RIDDOR reporting and internal incident systems * Driving environmental initiatives including waste, emissions, and water management * Acting as a key contact for regulators, clients, and external stakeholders * Supporting tender submissions with SHEQ documentation What We Need From You: * Proven experience in a SHEQ or Health & Safety management role * Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and ISO standards * Background in utilities, construction, or infrastructure environments * Experience leading audits and managing compliance frameworks * Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels * Strong organisational and communication skills * Relevant H&S qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent) * Full UK driving licence * Right to work in the UK What's On Offer: * Competitive salary package Company car / car allowance e * Ongoing professional development and training * Opportunity to shape and influence business-wide safety strategy * Supportive and collaborative working environment * Long-term career progression within a growing organisation If you'd like to discuss the opportunity in more detail, please call Beth on 07719 983 823 or email
