We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Planned Repairs & Maintenance division. In this vital role, you’ll ensure commercial excellence across our projects, managing valuations, pricing variations, maximising profit, and working closely with clients, delivery teams, and subcontractors.

About you
* Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates, JCT, NEC and NHF contract terms
* Price Per Property contract models
* Social housing background (desirable)
* Strong IT literacy
* Previous Quantity Surveying experience (essential)
Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and monitor all commercial activities to achieve project objectives and ensure project profit targets are met, with effective cashflow and margin control.
* Review and submit Applications for Payment.
* Cleanse and correct Schedule of Rates (SOR) data where required.
* Review void specifications and advise on correct SOR code usage.
* Finalise all completed jobs to ensure timely invoicing.
* Approve contra charges and cost transfers. Monitor material spend and plant hire.
* Secure best value from subcontractors and suppliers.
* Review subcontractor variations, ensuring client approvals where necessary.
* Ensure all chargeable works are accurately captured.
* Maximise use of Schedule of Rate codes across all workstreams.
* Advise on, formulate and submit loss & expense claims where applicable.
* Carry out post-completion commercial evaluations to inform future projects.
* Produce accurate cost-to-complete and value forecasts in line with budgets; report any variances that may affect margin or programme.
* Review contract terms before commencement and highlight commercial risk, key clauses and obligations to the project/delivery team.
* Submit quotations or estimates to clients as required.
