The Councils IT Services department is seeking a professional and enthusiastic senior technical analyst to join a small team of Infrastructure engineers responsible for maintaining the Councils hybrid cloud and locally hosted infrastructure. This is an excellent time to join local Government IT due to the challenging projects required to support and deliver the forth coming Local Government Reorganisation. The Opportunity In the role of Senior Infrastructure Officer, heres an example of what youll be doing to make an impact: Working in a senior Server/Infrastructure role providing support for Microsoft, virtualisation, CITRIX, Backups, Cloud, and Hyperconverged technology. Design & build secure scalable IT infrastructure. The opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies. Capacity management. Managing Incidents, problems, and requests. Managing customers and third parties. Working independently and as part of a team to deliver excellent IT support. Lead on high profile Infrastructure project delivery to tight time scales. Able to provide management cover for the Infrastructure Team Leader and other senior roles. Collaboration with colleagues and 3rd parties. Report writing and technical documentation. Training and development for junior staff. About You To be successful in this role, youll ideally have Minimum 3 years experience working in a senior Server/Infrastructure support role covering Microsoft, virtualisation, Hyperconverged, CITRIX, Backups, and Cloud technology. Able to demonstrate strong technical ability in multiple technologies. Excellent problem solving and customer management skills. Proven experience working independently and as part of a team. Lead on high profile Infrastructure project delivery to tight time scales. Objective driven. Able to provide management cover for the infrastructure Team Leader. Effective communication skills. Highly tuned problem-solving skills.
