I’m currently recruiting for a Trade Compliance / Export Coordinator to join BAE Systems on a 12-month contract based in Rochester.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly regulated, secure environment, supporting the movement of controlled goods and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support import/export activities in line with UK and international trade regulations
* Prepare and review export documentation (invoices, declarations, shipping paperwork)
* Assist with customs compliance, including tariff codes and shipment processing
* Work closely with internal teams, freight forwarders, and external suppliers
* Ensure adherence to export control regulations and internal compliance procedures
Key Requirements:
* Experience in import/export, trade compliance, or logistics coordination
* Knowledge of customs processes, export documentation, and international shipping
* Understanding of Incoterms and cross-border shipments
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a compliance-driven environment
* Experience within engineering, manufacturing, defence, or regulated industries is beneficial
