CAMHS Crisis Nurse

The closing date is 04 May 2026

The Teesside CAMHS crisis and liaison team are looking to recruit a band 5 nurse to work alongside the rest of the nursing workforce. The crisis team is a 24‑hour, 7 days a week service which provides urgent responses to children under the age of 18 who present with acute mental health crises. The service is accessed via 111 select option 2 for mental health but also provides liaison services for the two paediatric A&E departments across Teesside.

The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside band 6 nurses to provide triage, assessment and short‑term treatment for children and their carers.

Whether you are an experienced Registered Nurse or a Newly Registered Nurse, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service that puts patient care first. You will have the time and support to make a real difference every day.

Student Nurses who are due to register in the next 3 months are very welcome to apply. Full training and Preceptorship programme will be provided to help you build confidence and develop your career in this specialist area.
