Main duties of the job

Leading, motivating, and mentoring your team and delivering clinical guidance and training to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home. Carrying out assessments, developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each resident. Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation. Promoting residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care and striving for continuous improvement.

Job responsibilities

As a Care Home Manager at HC‑One, you’ll value kindness above all. You will take responsibility for the well‑being of residents, motivate and mentor your team, develop and evaluate care plans, monitor safety and compliance, and promote resident independence and dignity.


About You

We’re looking for an experienced manager with strong leadership skills, multidisciplinary team management and risk assessment experience. You will have, or be willing to study for, a Registered Manager’s Award Level 4 or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5. Above all, you communicate with residents and colleagues in a considerate and kind manner. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; you recognise signs of abuse or neglect and know how to act and report concerns.

Person Specification

Qualifications, experience and additional criteria will include:

* Qualifications: Registered Manager’s Award Level 4 or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5 (or willingness to study)
* Experience: Proven experience as a care home manager, leading multidisciplinary teams and managing risk assessments
* Additional Criteria: Strong leadership, communication and safeguarding skills
* Disclosure and Barring Service Check: Subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975

Pay rate is subject to experience and qualifications.
