Technical Sales Engineer - North UK (remote with field-based account management) KO2's client is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to cover the North of England up to Scotland. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a salary of £55,000-£65,000, plus an 8% pension, and a performance-related bonus. The majority of the role involves field-based customer meetings; when not on the road, you can work from home. Location and travel Territory: North UK - from Cheshire up to and including Scotland (North England, North Wales, and Scotland) Regular travel to customer sites and design reviews Location flexible within the North UK region; home-based working is supported when not with customers KO2's client is a UK-based distributor and manufacturer of high-reliability electronic components. They specialise in passive, interconnect, power, magnetic, optoelectronic, semiconductor, and electromechanical components, serving aerospace, defence, space, rail, industrial, and other harsh-environment markets. The successful candidate will manage and grow a portfolio of North UK customers, providing technical and commercial support, supporting design activity, and converting opportunities into long-term business relationships. Key responsibilities Territory management: Develop and grow a portfolio of existing customers while identifying new opportunities across the North UK region. Technical sales support: Provide application-level guidance, technical input during design/qualification phases, and assist with component selection. Customer engagement: Lead customer meetings, site visits, and design reviews to understand requirements and propose solutions. Opportunity development: Identify new projects, applications, and growth areas within existing and prospective accounts. Collaboration: Work closely with internal sales, product management, quality, and engineering teams to deliver coordinated support; liaise with suppliers as needed. Reporting: Maintain accurate activity, opportunity, and forecast records in internal systems. Market insight: Feed back market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer trends to the business.
