Duties

* Administration, record-keeping, and data collection
* Training, education, supervision
* Provide social support and informal counseling, advocate for individuals and community health needs
Responsibilities
The Community Mental Health Worker (CMHW) is responsible for helping participants and their families navigate and access community services and other resources, as well as adopt healthy behaviors. The CMHW supports providers and the Case Managers through an integrated approach to care management and community outreach. Activities prioritize promoting, maintaining, and improving the health of participants and their families.
Work Interactions
The CMHW will serve as part of a team within Georgetown University and with external partners. They will collaborate with other team members to ensure families can navigate and access community resources, and interact with District agencies and non-profit organizations. They will represent Georgetown University and Thrive Center in all interactions.
Requirements And Qualifications
* CMHWs will have completed a specialized certificate program in Family Leadership at GU
* Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Suite, data entry)
* Written and oral fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
* Experience working in a multicultural setting is preferred
* Experience working in a community-based setting for 1 to 2 years is preferred
* Understanding of the community served and community connectedness
* Good communication skills, such as listening well and using language appropriately
* Ability and willingness to provide emotional support, encouragement, and motivation to clients
Work Mode Designation
This position has been designated as Hybrid.

Pay Range
$20.16 - $31.30
Compensation is determined by factors including candidate qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s needs.
