Mechanical Manager – Residential Project – North West London
Long-Term Opportunity | £300 per day | CIS or Ltd Company
We're working with a growing building services contractor to appoint a Mechanical Manager for a large residential development in North West London. The project comprises over 300 units and is currently in the pre-construction phase, so this is your opportunity to see it through from start to completion and make a real impact.
You'll be working alongside an Electrical-biased Project Manager, taking full responsibility for the mechanical delivery on site. The role will involve coordinating subcontractors, monitoring programme and quality, and ensuring a smooth flow of information throughout the build. This contractor places high value on long-term relationships and internal development, with a clear path for the right candidate to step into a Project Manager role over time.
The Role:
Oversee all mechanical installation activities on a residential scheme (c.300 units)
Work from pre-construction through to handover
Manage and coordinate mechanical subcontractors on site
Track progress against programme and take corrective action where required
Carry out regular site inspections, H&S checks, and QA reviews
Liaise with design and delivery teams to resolve technical issues
Report to the Electrical-biased Project Manager and contribute to wider team goals
Maintain clear and professional communication with site teams, suppliers and client reps
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or Manager on residential or mixed-use developments
Strong understanding of mechanical building services and installation sequencing
Ability to manage multiple subcontractor packages and drive programme
Hands-on, proactive and solutions-focused
SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Eagerness to grow within a forward-thinking business
