Job overview We are looking to appoint a full‑time General Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialist interest in uro‑radiology. Candidates should be competent in delivering a wide range of services across all modalities, including relevant interventional procedures.
You will share the general reporting workload with other colleagues in addition to urological imaging and some intervention, complementing the skill mix of the existing consultant team.

Main duties of the job Main Responsibilities
Participate in the general workload of the department, including duty radiologist rota, vetting of requests and in‑patient CT and MRI reporting.
Provide support for urological related workload including the ultrasound service, plain film reporting, x‑ray meetings and MDT.
Perform basic US guided non‑vascular intervention (drainages and biopsies).
Intervention skills in particular nephrostomies is desirable but not essential.
Support the cross‑sectional imaging workload of the department by undertaking cancer target CT and MRI as well as routine cross‑sectional imaging.
Support tumour site specific cancer MDT meetings as deemed appropriate, based on service specific requirements.
Teach and train radiology registrars, reporting radiographers and medical students.
Attend departmental discrepancy and educational/audit meetings.

Person specification Qualifications
MBBS/MBBCh and possess FRCR.
Entry on GMC Specialist Register or eligible for entry on Register within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at time of interview.
Uro Imaging sub‑specialist training.
Special interest or additional qualifications in other areas of clinical radiology.
Experience
Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining a UK CCT in general radiology.
Experience of audit management.
Independent at urology CT/MRI/sonography and plain film reporting.
Clinical supervision experience/skills.
Experience of supervising radiology trainees.
Non‑vascular IR including nephrostomies.
5 years supervised training in an appropriate ST equivalent training programme.
Radiology Fellowship in body imaging / uro‑imaging / oncology imaging.
Clinical leadership experience or training.
Experience as Educational Supervisor or Clinical Tutor.
Skills
Ability to organise and manage radiology lists and priorities.
Ability to teach clinical skills.
Complex US/CT and Fluoroscopy body interventional skills (e.g., urological stenting, gastrostomies and GI stenting).
