SEN Case Officer Who You Are We are looking for passionate, experienced, and knowledgeable colleagues who can support families and carers of young people with SEN, as well as education settings from nursery to post-16/19 providers, in meeting the needs of learners with Education, Health, and Care Plans. You are dynamic, hardworking, a team player, and highly organized, with the ability to diligently prioritize workloads and case management. What the Job Involves You will be responsible for administering and managing the Statutory Assessment and Review process. This includes liaising with schools, professionals, and families to support and discuss the best ways to meet the needs of children and young people aged 0-25 with SEND. The focus of this temporary role will be on supporting the SEN team with the statutory phase transfer process to meet February 2026 deadlines and assist in annual review processing. You represent the Local Authority within Children's Education Services for the Statutory Assessment Service. Skills Experience in Special Educational Needs settings Knowledge of Statutory SEN legislation and processes Relevant degree or equivalent qualification Professional experience in or with schools/educational settings Strong communication skills Ability to support children, families, and educational providers Team player with effective workload management
