Job Description:
Description: The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with prospective and operational and business users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into technology product requirements.
2. Align with the vision for the team’s product and maintaining the cohesive vision throughout the SDLC process. Create a product roadmap based on this vision.
3. Manage the product backlog and prioritize tasks based on challenging and often competing requirements.
4. Participate actively in stages of technology product creation, including formulation and definition of system scope, objectives, and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects.
5. Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage; identify and communicate risks and impacts; propose risk mitigation options considering business implications.
6. Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and collaborate with management teams to meet organizational objectives.
7. Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements; recommend systems enhancements or alternatives by analyzing business processes, systems, and industry standards.
8. Provide in-depth analyses to define problems, develop solutions, and influence strategic decisions.
9. Assess risks when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies; escalate and manage control issues transparently.
10. Work with the product team and end users to deliver updates, status reports, and participate in Scrum activities and sprints.
Qualifications:
* Experience in product companies as a product owner/manager.
* Experience delivering strategic change programs in a fast-paced, financial product environment.
* Adept in agile practices, with strong backlog management skills.
* Knowledge of Margin & collateral, OTC Derivatives, payments flows, or related domains is a plus.
* Energetic, flexible, collaborative, proactive leader capable of adding impact.
* Strong communicator, articulate and concise, with experience interacting with senior management.
* Strong risk management and control mindset.
* Good problem solver, results-oriented, with evaluative judgment skills.
* Ability to build trust and act as a business partner with a client-oriented approach.
* Awareness of external and internal best practices, with a balanced perspective.
* Ability to conceptualize organizational development and future growth.
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
* Experience with all phases of SDLC and agile practices.
* Comprehensive knowledge of business analysis principles.
Education:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
