Your role at SIXT
The SIXT Van and Truck UK division is rapidly expanding, and you as a Maintenance Manager will play a key role in ensuring top-quality vehicle maintenance services. You will lead a dedicated team responsible for accurately documenting and managing all mechanical and bodywork damages, ensuring professional and timely follow-up with customers. Your role will involve strong coordination with breakdown partners, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold compliance and customer satisfaction. * You lead, motivate and allocate daily work within your maintenance team
* You manage relationships with breakdown partners and monitor service level agreements
* You approve complex vehicle repairs within defined financial limits
* You oversee supplier performance to ensure quality and efficiency
* You ensure compliance with MOT and safety check requirements across depots
* You serve as a working supervisor handling escalated repair jobs and provide cover for coordinator absences
Your skills matter
* Background – You have a solid background in vehicle maintenance, ideally with light commercial vehicles (LCV)
* Adaptability – You thrive in dynamic environments and can work effectively under pressure both independently and in teams
* Attention to Detail – You have a sharp eye for detail ensuring all paperwork and inspections are accurate and complete
* Communication – You demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage with customers and internal teams clearly and courteously
* Flexibility – You are open to working shift rotations covering branch operating hours to maintain continuous service
* Problem-solving – You proactively resolve vehicle condition issues, customer disputes, and insurance coordination challenges
* IT Proficiency – You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
* Experience – You bring experience from transport, logistics or automotive sectors with prior involvement in maintenance management
* Driving License – You hold a valid driving license with at least 12 months of driving experience
