Pay Rate: From £88.92 per day
Vetro Education is currently recruiting for a Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant to support primary schools across the Caerphilly area. This role will involve working with pupils across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
This is an excellent opportunity for a fluent Welsh speaker who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to providing high-quality support to children with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN/ALN through the medium of Welsh.
Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies.
Assist in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
Support learners with a range of additional needs, including behavioural, emotional, and sensory processing difficulties.
Help to monitor and record student progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.
Adapt learning materials and classroom resources to meet individual pupil requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
Fluency in Welsh (spoken and written) is essential.
Minimum of 3 months' experience supporting children with SEN/ALN in an educational or similar setting.
Strong understanding of the needs of pupils requiring additional support.
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the UK.
