Role Summary:
The Licensing & Brand Partnerships Intern will assist the licensing team with a wide variety of tasks to support the team’s day-to-day operations. This is a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of licensing.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Assistance:
* Organising, maintaining and updating licensing files, records and databases.
* Assisting with royalty tracking and reporting, and the circulation of royalty invoices.
* Supporting the Licensing Team with ad-hoc projects, including following up on general queries.
* Sample management:
* Managing inbound samples from our partners, including organising the sample room.
* Overseeing sample returns to partners.
* Organising archive samples for the archive team.
* Design assistance:
* Sending paper CADs to partners.
* Updating and managing design tech/spec sheets for partners.
* General design file logging and related administrative support.
* Presentations:
* Assisting with the preparation of presentations, reports and other documentation as required, including gathering data.
Internal and External Communication:
* Supporting the Licensing Team in organising meetings and tracking actionable items.
* Supporting communication with cross-functional teams within Liberty and external stakeholders as required.
Market Research and Analysis:
* Conducting research on potential growth areas, industry trends and market developments.
* Supporting the Licensing Team with trade fairs and events, such as BLE.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
* Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work on tight deadlines and juggling multiple projects at the same time.
Learning Outcomes:
The Intern will develop a comprehensive understanding of the licensing process, the role of licensing in business strategy, and gain exposure to the legal and compliance aspects of licensing IP. They will build valuable professional skills in communication, research and administrative work, within a collaborative team environment.
