What you will do: We are looking for an occupational therapist who has experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary service and of identifying opportunities for service development and implementation. You will be required to lead on assessment and treatment and develop initiatives that are person-centred and evidence based. In line with the multidisciplinary model of care, the occupational therapist will also take on key worker responsibility for a defined caseload of patients, providing regular contact, care coordination, and ongoing support that is tailored to individual needs. All new staff joining the EIPS will be supported with a training programme to equip them for working in this specialist area. This includes training in Behavioural Family Therapy (BFT), Psychosocial Interventions for Psychosis (PSIP) and Managing Unusual Sensory Experiences (MUSE). You will be provided with regular line and clinical supervision and support. Line management supervision and caseload allocation will be undertaken in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team and through supervision. Support and development is promoted and encouraged through a variety of forums including participation in practice development groups, in house and external training and national forums. National benchmarking and engagement is encouraged and supported.
