We're currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, Resilience Risk Specialist.
Resilience risk is HSBC's ability to continue delivering important business services within agreed impact tolerances during disruption. It reflects how well we anticipate, withstand and recover from events such as technology or cyber incidents, process/control failures, third:party outages, physical disruption and data issues. We manage it by understanding critical services and dependencies, setting recovery objectives and impact tolerances, embedding resilience by design, and maintaining robust oversight aligned to business priorities and regulatory expectations. In Group Resilience Risk (GRR), within Group Risk and Compliance, we strengthen HSBC's resilience by driving effective controls in an environment of increasing threat sophistication and architectural complexity.

In this role you will:
:Ensure Transaction Processing and Payment Risk is effectively managed and embedded across HSBC, in line with defined standards and in compliance with the relevant frameworks, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
:Provide technical guidance to ensure stakeholders understand the resilience control environment and risk assessments, proportionate to the scale and complexity of operations
:Maintain a top risks and controls view for Transactions and Payments Processing resilience, mapped to important business services and dependencies
:Provide second line challenge and sign:off input for material change impacting payment processing resilience covering new products, migrations, scheme changes, cloud moves, critical vendor changes
:Ensure incident learnings translate into sustainable remediation by first line on root cause validation, action quality, recurrence prevention
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
:Experience in risk management at a Globally Significant Financial Institution
:A good level of knowledge of the relevant regulatory landscape and ability to access the impact of proposed changes in regulatory rules to the bank, especially those pertaining to resilience risk
:A deep understanding and technical expertise of resilience risk, including how this risk can be identified, assessed, monitored, controlled, and mitigated where relevant
:Ability to lead and promote a strong risk control culture and continually improve risk awareness
:Proven ability to develop networks with key stakeholders in a matrix structure
