Overview
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Fire Remediation team based in Isle of Dogs.
Location: Isle of Dogs
Hours: 40 hours per week
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in maximising planned gross margin and ensuring strong financial performance. Your day‑to‑day tasks include:
* Managing commercial resources to achieve budgeted profitability on projects
* Appointing subcontractors and placing orders for materials and plant within delegated authorities
* Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing customers and paying suppliers
* Proposing and negotiating contract variations with customers and suppliers
* Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and the supply chain to support successful project delivery
Qualifications
This role is ideal for you if:
* You have clear communication skills and experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, clients and the supply chain
* You bring experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to Building Safety Regulation works
* You are organised, can prioritise effectively and work well to deadlines
* You hold relevant qualifications such as a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying
* You are confident using IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke software systems
