Position: Credit Control Manager
Reporting to: Financial Controller / Directors
We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our Credit Control team. In this role, you will oversee all credit control activities within the company, managing a team of credit controllers.
Responsibilities
1. Manage a team of credit controllers and oversee their portfolio of debtor accounts.
2. Ensure adherence to company processes, credit and payment terms, and conduct credit checks.
3. Produce and analyze debt reports, identifying risks, variances, and action plans.
4. Forecast cash flow on a monthly basis.
5. Maintain reports on credit applications, payments, and bad debts, providing relevant analyses.
6. Handle bad debt collections, including small claims, insurance, and correspondence.
7. Collaborate with the Sales Director to manage problematic accounts.
8. Resolve billing disputes, complaints, and discrepancies promptly.
9. Support daily credit control activities as needed.
10. Develop strategic partnerships across management to foster communication and continuous improvement.
11. Review and update the company's credit policy.
12. Liaise with HR to meet staffing needs and ensure policy compliance.
Requirements, Skills, and Attributes
* Strong knowledge of credit control functions within a business environment.
* Previous managerial experience in a high-volume billing setting.
* Ability to prioritize workload and lead a team effectively.
* Capable of working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Additional Information
Location: Head Office, Greysteel
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (unpaid one-hour lunch)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 per annum
