Overview
Interaction Technical has partnered with a well-established national plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, with over 50 years of experience, is looking to onboard and train engineers from backgrounds such as plant, HGV, automotive, or agricultural sectors. They offer comprehensive training schemes and internal progression routes.
The package:
* 22 days of annual leave plus public holidays, increasing by 1 day each year of service (up to 25 days)
* Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours over 8 per day
* A minimum of 5 hours of overtime available weekly
* Salary sacrifice scheme for an additional 5 days of annual leave
* Full training and development focusing on internal progression: Workshop/Mobile Engineer > Lead Engineer > Hiring Manager > Site Manager > Regional Manager, with corresponding salary increases and benefits
The Requirements:
* Experience in the plant, automotive, HGV, or agricultural industry (essential)
* Experience with hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems (essential)
* Engine experience is advantageous
* Fault finding, repair, and service experience in electrical and mechanical systems
* Desire to lead and manage a team
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical or electrical engineering (advantageous)
* Full UK driver's license
The Responsibilities:
* Travel to client sites for maintenance and repair of plant machinery
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
* Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and provide recommendations
* Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance
* Train and support clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance
* Maintain detailed records of service activities
* Communicate with the in-house engineering team for feedback and improvements
