Job Description
We are a part of the Asset and Wealth Management Division in the Guidelines Platform team, responsible for managing a suite of applications that help our business meet compliance requirements. The role involves building solutions leveraging technologies such as React, VERTX 3.x, MongoDB, Single store, Java 17, Kafka, workflows, and REST services to provide scalable, low‑latency, concurrent, highly fail‑safe and resilient services for real‑time trading environments. The candidate will be responsible for the platform uplift of the core application for investment decisions/guidelines.
Responsibilities
* Build low‑latency, scalable, and resilient services.
* Write high‑quality, well‑tested, scalable code.
* Evaluate short‑ and long‑term implications of every implementation decision.
* Grow professionally and learn from other accomplished software engineers through pair coding.
* Collaborate on critical system architecture decisions.
* Review and provide feedback on other developers' code and design.
* Evaluate modern technologies, prototype innovative approaches to problems, and make the business case for change.
* Use infrastructure‑as‑code to build and deploy applications.
Requirements
* Meaningful experience in, but not limited to, any one of the following: Microservices, Java, React, SQL.
* Experience working with non‑relational as well as relational databases.
* Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
* Excellent object‑oriented or functional analysis and design skills.
* Comfortable multi‑tasking, managing multiple stakeholders, and working as part of a global team.
* Proven communication and interpersonal ability.
