Interested in Making a Difference?
You will be placed within an NHS service, receiving direct referrals for individuals with low to medium mental health support needs, often dealing with anxiety or depression. Your role also involves assisting those who are currently employed and seeking new opportunities.
What You'll Do
You'll engage in approximately 19 one-on-one meetings each week. Among these, 5 are dedicated to assessing newcomers to our service, understanding their unique needs and goals, and crafting personalized support plans. The remaining 14 sessions will involve providing invaluable advice and guidance, covering areas such as CV writing, job searching, interview techniques, and facilitating group workshops. Each client will get 4 sessions with you. The focus is either supporting them to stay in their current role, or securing the next opportunity which is the right fit.
Who We're Looking For
To apply, ideally, you will have experience in supporting individuals with mental health support needs in some capacity. Alternatively, you might be a recent graduate with a relevant degree (such as psychology) looking to take your first step on the career ladder. Your background could include roles as a support worker, hostel worker, recruitment consultant, employment advisor, job coach, or residential support worker.
Its important to note the emphasis is on employment support, as opposed to mental health support.
