General Manager – The Meeting House
Opening this Autumn, The Meeting House will be a welcome addition to Belfast City centre. Located between Ann Street and Crown Entry the venue will be a ‘free‑house’ pub with a focus on traditional Irish music and its unique historical location. The pub will also be complemented by an adjoining Indian‑inspired 60 seat restaurant "Ru". We are looking for an experienced General Manager to oversee the whole venue and help bring it to life.
The role
This is a senior management position that will have joint oversight and responsibility for the success of both The Meeting House and Ru. As such, the role requires strong operational oversight, people management skills and confident financial insight which can be applied to both venues.
As General Manager, you will assume responsibility for daily operations of the bar, ensuring high service standards, smooth team co‑ordination and the delivery of an outstanding guest experience.

What you’ll do
* Assist with the opening of sister venue, Ru restaurant, and continue to work alongside and support their operational team of around 20 people
* Take ownership of day‑to‑day bar operations, ensuring seamless service flow
* Set and uphold exceptional service standards, handling customer feedback with professionalism, promptly and confidently resolving any issues that arise
* Recruit, train and manage the development of a team of around 20 bar staff who are skilled, motivated and reflect the bar’s culture and standards
* Manage budgets, rotas, control labour costs and oversee stock levels to meet KPIs and maximise profitability and operational efficiency
* Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and licensing laws
About you
* At least 2‑3 years’ senior management experience as a general manager or similar
* Someone able to make a quick impact establishing your own team in a fresh bar environment
* A people person who is great at growing and nurturing professional relationships
* Confident leader and communicator with strong organisational skills
* You’re enthusiastic and love bringing fresh ideas to the table
* You enjoy working in a place where things move quickly
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
