We are looking for a fully qualified Gas Engineer with Plumbing experience to join our expanding team working within a busy environment. You will carry out a range of gas and plumbing work on our clients' housing stock to ensure appliances and installations are safe for continued use.
This is a field-based role, primarily in Caerphilly, with travel to Cardiff, Newport, The Valleys, and Swansea. A company van and fuel card are provided, and work is grouped geographically.
Principle Accountabilities
1. Ensure all gas work complies with The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 and related policies.
2. Perform gas repairs according to work orders, adhering to operational procedures.
3. Provide comprehensive gas maintenance and installation services in domestic premises, complying with relevant regulations and standards. Must hold current Domestic ACS certification and complete all relevant paperwork.
4. Obtain approval for work differing from the original work order and document additional work for accurate invoicing.
5. Manage stock and materials efficiently, following purchasing and stock control procedures.
6. Report safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
7. Participate in call-out duties as required to ensure contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
Role Criteria
1. Qualified to City and Guilds/Gas Service Engineer standard with ACS certifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, CPA1).
2. Good understanding of current legislation and building control requirements.
3. Hands-on plumbing skills and experience.
4. Valid UK driving license.
5. Previous experience in domestic or social housing is preferred.
