About the Role: As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, individualised learning to students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. You will work within a specialist provision to support learners academically, emotionally, and socially, helping them reach their full potential. Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons based on students’ EHCP targets. Develop a nurturing classroom environment that supports emotional regulation and personal growth. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and SENCOs to ensure cohesive support. Promote independence, self-confidence, and key life skills in pupils. Monitor student progress, maintain records, and adapt teaching strategies as needed. Implement effective classroom behaviour strategies that foster respect and cooperation. Contribute to the wider school community and continuous improvement of SEN provision. SEN Teacher Qualification: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential. Experience teaching in SEN or specialist settings is highly beneficial. Strong understanding of special education strategies and the UK curriculum. Patient, empathetic, and innovative approach to teaching.
