The Role
As a Learner Engagement Officer, you’ll play a hands-on role in attracting, engaging, and supporting learners from first contact through to enrolment.
This is a field-based, people-focused position where relationship-building and outreach are key.
Key responsibilities:
* Engage with local communities to promote training and employability programmes
* Recruit learners onto AEB-funded courses
* Conduct initial assessments and eligibility checks
* Support individuals through the enrolment process
* Build relationships with job centres and community partners
* Attend outreach events and engagement activities across London
* Maintain accurate records of learner engagement activity
Ideal Candidate
You are a confident communicator with a passion for helping people access opportunities.
You will bring:
* Experience in learner engagement, recruitment, or customer-facing roles
* Exposure to adult education, training providers, or employability programmes (desirable)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds
* Organised and proactive approach to outreach activity
* Ability to work independently across different locations
