Main Responsibilities To contribute to the growth and success of the Company through the development and management of first class, robust Clinical training program to support the clinical team and learning platform. Supporting programs that contribute to the business objectives by improving clinical team performance and customer focus. This role fundamentally will assist in the organization's success through the training, coaching and development of the clinical team. Development and delivery of education and training, using a range of approaches, and ensuring the quality of the teaching and resources. Continually improve and deliver a Clinical Induction program aligned to the Company Induction and onboarding program. Develop clinical pathways in IV therapies, High tech services and have a specialty skill eg Paediatrics, Oncology (in SACT competency) Create training modules, assessments and tools to support the quality and compliance of the clinical team Support in audits and inspections Develop and facilitate clinical competency checks and sign offs Support the upskilling and cross training of the clinical workforce to ensure optimal resourcing for our patients Partner with key functional leads in the development of training materials and competency sessions against SOP's, policies, process, and systems for existing and new services Work closely with the Learning and Development Lead in the business to develop the LMS tool to deliver training pathways, knowledge based resources and accurate training records. Support the implementation of a robust system for scheduling induction and refresher training that meets service need Develop, with the assistance of functional leads and managers, effective probationary training documents and programs Ensure the principles of the key business strategies and values are embedded into the planning and delivery of learning. Deliver Internal and client training programs in the field, this may be with a single location base, via on-line or face to facein patient homes. Provide support and guidance for nurse's revalidation. Support Nurse Managers to embed new knowledge and evidence-based practice following successful delivery of clinicaltraining across their staff teams. Support and assist on training and nurse competency matter's within service improvement projects that deliver onbusiness objectives based on customer feedback, best practice, and clinical excellence. Contribute to researching, developing, nursing specific and healthcare related policies and procedures to ensure this is translated into training delivery in partnership with the Clinical Governance Lead. Attend external and internal train the trainer coursers and deliver the relevant training out to the teams. Participating in setting and maintaining standards of professional competence and current nursing practices, working within The NMC code always Assist the Clinical Team managers and other team members in support of the patient care programs, as required Responsibility for the standards of training, compliance with training requirements and the maintenance of training records for all clinical staff Ensure compliance with service level agreements, work orders and contracts Supporting the clinical governance framework Promote and drive a culture of continuous professional development Identify and develop new learning initiatives i.e-learning tools, blended learning solutions Use digital tools to create a flexible and innovative learning programme Work closely with all levels of Clinical internal & external stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, to the appropriate level of quality. What experience and skills are we looking for? Experience in clinical homecare, community nursing, acute care setting relevant ENB post registration or Mentorship qualification Experience in administration of sub-cut therapies cannulation and phlebotomy skills, care of IV devices and IV therapies. Recent experience within a similar role Evidence of continued professional development Teaching qualification or relevant experience Qualifications : RGN Part 1 of the NMC Register Degree level qualification Teaching qualification desired (Level 3 Education and Training or equivalent) or relevant experience National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) are an alternative - a level 3 offers a Certificate in learning and development and a level 4 offers a Diploma for the advanced learning and development practitioner or Award in Education and Training or equivalent/appropriate training qualification (desirable not essential) Equivalent demonstratable experience Personal Skills & Qualities: Ability to develop and sustain a professional Learning and Development clinical program. Ability to create high quality teaching materials, content and presentations. Ability and accountability in researching and sharing best practice initiatives, nursing legislation and guidance. Strong interpersonal skills capable of building, developing and motivating the nurse team and to maintain a positive working environment. Well-honed written and verbal (including presentation) communication skills with a flexible approach. Self-motivated, dedicated with a committed approach showing interest in understanding the business and industry. To be proactive and motivated responding positively to new challenges and opportunities Computing skills, including an excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Advanced Excel user knowledge, PowerPoint, LMS systems and training platforms Sound decision-making skills and ability to communicate those decisions and articulate other complex information and data to senior personnel internally and externally.
