About the role: Chartered Civil Engineer with experience in Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management for River Scour and Lead Local Flood Authority programme delivery.
What you will do
As part of the River and Coastal Engineering team, support clients and projects across the UK with a focus on Local Authorities, Network Rail, Highways, Environment Agency and major infrastructure projects including offshore wind, desalination plants and submarine cables. You will provide modelling, appraisal and feasibility studies, business cases and designs from concept through to detailed designs. Responsibilities include:
* Providing technical support and expertise for rivers, scour and coastal civil engineering design teams
* Supporting the delivery of proposals
* Mentoring and helping to develop Apprentices, Graduates and Early Career Professionals
* Contributing to Innovation Accelerator programs and Research and Development
* Supporting delivery of local authority FCERM programmes
Who we are looking for
Chartered Civil Engineers with experience in Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management. Ideally some experience in scour assessment and scour repair design (not essential). Location: flexible nationwide; preferred in the South West of England (Exeter or Bristol offices).

What we would be looking for you to demonstrate
* Experience post-degree in sustainable water management engineering designs (e.g., scour assessments and repair design, river or flood defence works, coastal engineering)
* Degree qualified in civil engineering
* Knowledge of flood and river scour design principles
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Successful management of projects/programmes and teams to meet quality and commercial targets
* Chartered Civil Engineer status
