About the role
Full‑time Nanny role near Farleigh Wallop, RG25. The family requires care for two young girls, aged 16 months and 3 years at the start date. The position is 4 days a week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm (40 hours per week). The day off will be agreed in advance with the mother’s work schedule.
This is a sole‑charge, live‑out role. Initially, the nanny will work at the children’s grandparents’ house while the family secures their long‑term home in the Basingstoke‑Winchester area (confirmed nearer to the offer stage).
Responsibilities
* Drop off and pick up the older child at preschool (part‑time); care for the younger child during the day.
* Plan fun day‑outs and create age‑appropriate activities at home to encourage developmental milestones.
* Carry out usual nursery duties: children's administration, laundry, and maintaining tidy childcare areas.
* Provide healthy, home‑cooked meals; optionally batch‑cook for the family on occasion.
Requirements
* Minimum of two years of professional nannying experience with children of similar ages.
* Up‑to‑date enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the update service) and a 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid certificate.
* Formal childcare qualification or suitable knowledge of EYFS (preferred).
* Safe driving licence, own car, and experience driving children.
* Strong organisational skills, problem‑solving ability, and the ability to initiate engaging activities.
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly, engaging personality.
* Professional references: at least two, including one current or most recent employer, who can be contacted promptly.
* Professional nanny insurance is recommended.
Location & Working Hours
Location: Between Basingstoke and Winchester, Hampshire. Initial work will be at the grandparents’ home, moving to the permanent family home upon confirmation. Hours: 8 am to 6 pm, 4 days per week; day off agreed with the mother’s work schedule.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly pay up to £17 gross, annual gross up to £35,360. Permanent role. No pets. No additional benefits listed.
