About the Role We’re looking for a skilled MET Technician / Mechanic to join our high-performing team. You’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality removal, repair, and replacement of mechanical and electrical components on vehicles involved in accidents. From diagnosis to final assembly, you’ll play a crucial part in getting vehicles safely back on the road. What You’ll Do Carry out MET duties including stripping and refitting of vehicle parts, diagnostic work, and suspension alignment Ensure all work meets Steer’s exacting standards of excellence Follow manufacturer repair methods and health & safety guidelines Embrace our innovative processes and contribute to continuous improvement Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate closely with colleagues and leadership teams What We’re Looking For Previous experience in MET/Mechanic roles within a bodyshop or accident repair environment Relevant qualifications (ATA/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred) Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for quality workmanship A commitment to acting with integrity and professionalism at all times Full UK Driving Licence Why Steer Automotive?
