We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Store Partner to join us on our journey of reimagining a 65 year old family business specialising in fabrics & interiors for the home.

Founded in 1957 our family business based in Devizes, Wiltshire has been specialising in fabrics, interiors and made to measure curtains, blinds and accessories.

Our Devizes store is a unique space, with 100s of rolls of beautiful fabrics, made to measure consulting and homewares on display. We are committed to providing customers with a retail store that enables them to take their decision making offline, see and feel real fabrics up close and be surrounded by all the specialist knowledge accumulated over the years of our business in order to fulfil their desired to create a beautiful home. Our purpose is to double down on being a traditional specialist retail store, helping our customers find quality household fabrics and homewares in an environment that is warm and inclusive.

About The Role

The role of Lead Store Partner is for someone that is looking to establish themselves as a semi- autonomous figure in running the day to day operations of our Devizes store. This role will become pivotal in helping establish the culture and passion for fabrics and interiors; overseeing all aspects of the retail store. You should want to be highly likeable and engaging with customers and eager to develop your knowledge of fabric and interior world in order to provide a memorable and traditional retail sales experience. We are looking for someone that is good in a retail sales environment, that is keen to learn, help us develop not only our retail environment but also business processes, company values and take on more responsibility as and when ready.

What we are looking for:

* Be a lead within our retail store and learn to be able to run operations on a daily basis
* Passionate about fabrics and interiors for the home.
* Integrity in working with customers and in a person retail environment.
* Keen interest in the home interiors space, with appreciation of heritage brands and retail
* spaces.
* Willingness to learn and develop alongside us during this time of renewal of our 65 year old
* business.
* Brilliant sales person, who is great with customers and can provide a high level of customer
* service consistently.
* An eye for design, style and curation of retail displays - with interest to help curate and
* refresh retail space for seasonal sales or new product introductions.
* Able to learn and use our in-store POS systems, Shopify website, custom CRM, XERO and
* other tools we use on a daily basis to manage stock, sales and customer information.
* Ability to assist with marketing activities and activations, such as email marketing, social
* media (Instagram/ Facebook) is a bonus.
* An eye for business and sales targets of the store, with ability to discuss these with key
* stakeholders
* Be able to cut fabric by the meter.
* Be able to assist customers through their made to measure journey for curtains and blinds,
* utilising our in-house quoting tools and CRM system.
* Fulfilling online sample and physical orders alongside other staff members.
* Open and Close our Store as and when required - End of Day Operations.
* Willingness to work on a Saturday
* Not afraid to fail, not afraid to grow and develop.

What you might be like:

* You will have "story" or serendipity that has bought you on this journey to work with fabrics and interiors in this heritage store that is focused on building offline as well as online.
* You are a people person, genuine, respectful and outgoing with customer and other colleagues.
* Proactive in engaging with the business goals and show a strong interest to help suggest improvements, ways of working and make everyday better with customer and other members of the team.
* Understand the business of retail and home interiors.
* Previous experience managing or running a retail store or small team.
* Experience with discussing business goals with management
* Computer literate - able to work with POS till systems, Email Marketing, Shopify, Xero,
* Microsoft Office and / or Apple iOS platform
* Willing to learn new software/ systems as and when the business requires.
* Previous experience quoting or understanding the process of making made to measure
* curtains or blinds
* Important
: The successful candidate must, by the start of their employment, have permission to work in the UK.
