We are looking for an Engineering Shift Technician to support the safe and efficient running of our Fine Chemical Plant, which manufactures the active ingredient for a key pharmaceutical product. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, support production uptime, and ensure compliance with safety and GMP standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond quickly to engineering breakdowns to minimise downtime.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with statutory and GMP requirements.
* Ensure equipment, building services and infrastructure remain safe, compliant and operational.
* Work closely with production teams to plan maintenance around equipment availability.
* Support service contractors and ensure all work follows risk assessments and method statements.
* Identify root causes of equipment issues and deliver long-term solutions.
* Participate in safety leadership tours and promote high EHS standards.
* Support small capital projects and assist with major project delivery when required.
Key Requirements
1. Qualified maintenance engineer (via qualifications or extensive experience).
2. Experience in an engineering/maintenance rolepharmaceutical, chemical or similar industries preferred.
3. Understanding of GMP, MHRA/FDA standards, and H&S systems (NEBOSH beneficial).
